For some reason, members of my family enjoy to rhapsodize about rhetorical situations involving me.
My Mother: What? Dan doesn't want you to move in with him?!
My Brother-In-Law: No. I told him I wanted to become a bachelor and move into his pad. I even offered to pay 75% of the rent.
My Mother: That sounds good to me!
My Brother-In-Law: I know. I don't get it.
They don't understand that I don't find it amusing, but because they are playing little roles they must think that my disdain is feigned as well.
